Headache & Migraine Relief in Salt Lake City

Stop letting headaches dictate your schedule. We uncover the structural and biomechanical triggers causing your head pain and provide long-lasting, drug-free relief.

    Headache Relief Starts with Structure

Many headaches and migraines trace back to poor neck posture and spinal misalignment — not just stress or dehydration. Restoring the normal cervical curve reduces tension, improves nerve function, and helps your body heal.

    Break the Pill Cycle

Millions of Americans suffer from chronic headaches and migraines, often relying on over-the-counter or prescription medications just to make it through the day. But medication only covers up the pain—it doesn't fix the underlying cause of the neck and back pain.

If your head feels too heavy for your neck, or if your pain starts at the base of your skull and wraps around your eyes, you likely have a structural issue. At Comprehensive Chiropractic Clinic, we specialize in finding and fixing the mechanical dysfunction driving your headaches using corrective care.

    Common Structural Causes of Headaches

    • Cervicogenic HeadachesPain that originates from the joints, discs, or muscles of the neck. This is incredibly common after an auto injury or whiplash trauma.
    • Forward Head Posture ("Tech Neck")When you lose the normal curve in your neck, the weight of your head pulls forward. This places massive, constant tension on the muscles at the base of the skull, leading to chronic tension headaches. We use CBP to correct this forward head posture.
    • Upper Cervical InstabilityThe top two bones in your neck (Atlas and Axis) sit right below the brainstem. Misalignments here can severely irritate the nervous system, contributing to intense migraines and trigeminal neuralgia.

Clinical Results: Eliminating the Cause of Tension

When the neck loses its natural curve, the weight of the head pulls forward. This places immense tension on the suboccipital muscles (the muscles at the base of the skull), which frequently triggers severe cervicogenic headaches and migraines. Below is a real structural correction.

    The Myodural Bridge Connection

The myodural bridge is a direct physical connection between the muscles at the base of your skull and the dura mater (the protective covering of your spinal cord and brain). When forward head posture puts constant tension on these muscles, it pulls directly on the spinal cord covering, triggering intense cervicogenic headaches and migraines.

    Lateral Cervical (Neck) Correction

Notice the significant restoration of the neck curve (moving the red line closer to the healthy green line). By structurally reshaping the cervical spine with CBP methods, we permanently eliminate the mechanical tension on the myodural bridge causing the headaches.
