Understanding the Compression
Lumbar radiculopathy happens when a nerve root in your lower spine becomes compressed or irritated. Because these nerves bundle together to travel all the way down to your toes, a pinch in the spine causes intense symptoms in the leg.
The vast majority of the time, this compression is caused by a lumbar disc herniation or spinal stenosis. Masking the pain with pills does nothing to stop the disc from continuing to crush the nerve.
Our Non-Surgical Solution
- Lumbar Decompression TherapyThe most effective way to treat lumbar radiculopathy is spinal decompression. It creates a vacuum effect to suck the bulging disc away from the nerve.
- Correcting the Lumbar CurveWe use CBP traction to restore the normal lordotic curve to the lower back, which permanently opens up the space for the nerves to exit freely.
- Stabilizing the PelvisIf your pelvis is unstable, the lower back will twist and re-compress the nerve. We use adjustments and stabilization exercises to lock the foundation in place.
