The "Sciatica" of the Arms
Cervical radiculopathy is the medical term for a pinched nerve in the neck. Just like sciatica causes pain to shoot down the leg, cervical radiculopathy causes electric, burning pain, numbness, or weakness to shoot down the shoulder, arm, and into the fingers.
This is most commonly caused by a cervical disc herniation or spinal stenosis. The root cause of both these issues is almost always forward head posture (Tech Neck), which crushes the discs over time.
